Chinese New Year is one of the most important holidays in the Chinese culture. It is a time for family reunion and a time to spend with relatives and friends. The celebration will be a time for great food, shopping, traditional Chinese shows, fireworks, and festivities! Red is the most important color in the Chinese culture which is a symbol of good luck. In the Chinese language, Gong Xi Fa Cai (Mandarin) and Gong Hey Fat Choy (Cantonese) are used to say Happy Chinese New Year.
Every year, my family, on both my mother and father's side, will get together and celebrate Chinese New Year. Some years, we will have get-together parties at each other's houses or some years, we will go out to a really nice banquet-style Chinese restaurant. The food is one of the biggest things I look forward to every Chinese New Year.
When I was younger, I used to always look forward to receiving the red envelopes. They are typically only given to children or unmarried adults who are unemployed. The red envelopes are filled with money and are a symbol of fortune, happiness, and good luck!
Most importantly, it is a time for renewal. It's a time to start the new year off with a clean slate. It's a time to start the year being clean and refreshed. It's also a time to celebrate with family and friends. And it's a time to look forward to the new year with happiness and abundance.
To kick off this year's celebration, Renewal Cards wants to wish you all a Happy Chinese New Year!
